What part of Italy do you think Georgia looks like most.

During the soviet era Georgia was main soviet wine producer, ski and sea resort destination, it was called Soviet Italy. Yesterday i met a guy from Bologna who was traveling in Georgia for about month, and he was surprised how "italian" landscapes, culture and overall vibe was in Georgia.

What do you think, which part of Italy does Georgia resemble most, interesting opinions from Italian members.

Some of the landscapes are evocative of the Alpine areas of northern Italy, others more like the Apennines further south IMO.

Landscapes resembles the Balkans, Slovenia, Croatia, Italian Alps, Austria. Architecture more Greece and the Balkans.
