There are 3 predictors that I am aware of.

I have no idea how to use this test. If anyone knows how, please tell me.

As you can see, my results are wildly different.

Please post your results if you have them :)

For the last predictor you just put your STR markers into the boxes.

The best predictor IMO is the Nevgen tool. You need STRs for this calc but you can use it to find out exact clades.

Nevgen by far, it predict my haplo and its subclade easily,I put it's result to test buying SNPs and SNP pack

Yh it is spot on unless if you have markers that are unusual for the clade as is the case for me as my markers are different from other J1-ZS241 markers, or if you belong to a basal clade as is the case for my uncle who on Nevgen was predicted as E-V13>S7461 but he actually is E-V13>CTS5856*(S3003-, S7461-, Z5018-, Z5017-, Z16663- etc)

Never figured out how to use NevGen

You need STR results and the only way to get those is by testing your Ydna with Ftdna or Yseq or some other Ydna testing company

Mine said Z5018 Misc, putting all of its subclades at 0.X%, except Z16242 which I am, I guess it depends then.

aint spending my money on that shit whats the point

just gonna tell me what region from chechnya my haplogroup is found or some shit lmao

Yh it got the Z5018 part correct although it was predicting you as Z5018* first

Fair point. Your J2a1 isn't necessarily from Chechnya

funny that I am Z16242 but negative for L1019 and Z2162. I may end here or be a new subclade of it, only BigY will tell.

J-M67 peaks in Chechen (over 55%) and Ingush (over 80%) so somewhere around there probably

Yh with origin it is from the Caucasus or the Transcaucasia area but J2a did migrate south into areas like the Levant where iirc J-M67 can be found. In your case I would say it is probably native Anatolian or native in the Zagros/Iran area but with origin from the Caucasus/Transcaucasia

Ahhh. So it's not like the first two where I can use my autosomal results? I need to buy a Y DNA test.

yes :( Y37 Y67 and such, at FTDNA or Yseq

No problem, I just found out that there is a way to use Promethease to get a prediction.

It's looking like I'm a J2 which makes complete sense, heh.

So Morley predictions based on the MH data are more or less reliable? I'd like to have my brother-in-law tested one day (they don't mind, but don't wanna waste money, lol) but FTDNA Y-DNA tests are pretty expensive, whereas a MyHeritage kit costs only $84 including shipping costs.

Iirc Ftdna are offering coupons which can reduce the price of the Ydna tests. The coupon for Y37 is YSEARCH37 and it has a reduction of 50 dollars but im not sure if they are still working

Well 3 tests so far have all indicated J2a1. My friend who took a 23andme test had the exact same result from Morley as they did in 23andme so it's worth trying.
