View Full Version : "Central Greek" on Eurogenes, who exactly is it?

It definitely does not seem like a mainland sample since no mainlander scores it first.

The only people I have run through the calculator who score that population first are Apulia, SE Sicily (Syracuse, some from Ragusa), SOME Maniots, and many North Aegean islanders and Cyclades islanders.

I think it has to be a mixed sample of mainland and islands.

Maybe it’s a sample from Peloponnese?

I score 10. Greek Thessaly

Are there South Slavic communities there?

It's mixed and probably includes people from Euboea or Skyros. K8:

edit: Could be mixed Greeks from Athens too, who knows.

Central Greece was supposed to correspond to "Sterea Ellada" but its quite off from the reality

The lack of good samples is one of the reasons why I dislike Eurogenes

Nah, more like mixed Greek/Vlach communities.

I assumed it might be North Aegean since many of the results from Chios and Ikaria score it very closely.
