Really cool results Norb. You're results look quite good for an Englishman leaning towards the Netherlands.

Yh as was said before, you are more leaning towards the Netherlands and continental Europe in general when compared with other Brits. I see that you are actually closer to Flemish than to SE England in terms of PCA

Well in terms of Ydna they are mainly R1b-U106 iirc which is clearly an indication of Germanic paternal origin but they also have good amounts of R1b-L21 which is a Celtic haplogroup. So I would say more Germanic but with significant amounts of Celtic input.

I’m not sure what mine is, although I supposedly do have Hessian ancestors who came over to North American to fight in the American Revolution for pay.

We will find out what mine are later today hopefully. I’m expecting it to be Baden Wurttemberg

I think it’s intersting because I would expect an Englishman to be closer to North Germany, and Hessia is smack dab in the mid

Bayern comes up alot for me on it.

Dutch too but that's because the Netherlands is a good midpoint between the British isles and Germany.

You were more mixed, so top correlation value is lower.

Replying to your question from message, maybe IT_Ladinia is midpoint of other north Italian and Iberian ancestry but you have pretty high value for Italian 22.5. The same amount of Iberian which is on the contrary quite low for someone with only Spanish ancestry.
This is why nMonte seeks for you north Italian pops. Pure Spaniard always have higher Iberian than Italian component. For me you have really submerged north Italian ancestry. If it is specifically Ladinia, I'm not sure.
