Amazing quality, thank for sharing this! The Yamnaya sample has some Amerindian percentage which, as I have suggested before, does reflect ANE-related ancestry. I and my mom get 2% Amerindian on Eurogenes.

Yes and this Afghan has a lot of shared ancestry with him. Dodecad and Harappa are the best for those groups as it divides the West Asian into Gedrosia and Caucasus.

For GEDmatch FTDNA data is probably the best together with MyHeritage. As for their ancestry composition, I don't know. For us Slavs and Eastern Europeans FTDNA is not bad IMO.

Caucasians get as much as 5-6% on some calculators. I think it's either Iranic or some Steppe influence.

Steppe influence is more meaningful in my case. I descend from White Huns who ruled the region for a long time, they arrived in northern Caucasia later on as Avars. I match with Kalash people with 14-15%

It peaks in Gujarati and Punjabi. Iranians score more Indian than Romas, according to the spreadsheet. Poltavka I0440 scores almost 15% Indian.

Steppe influence is more meaningful in my case. I descend from White Huns who ruled the region for a long time, they arrived in northern Caucasia later on as Avars. I match with Kalash people with 14-15%

Yes I am. My people are immigrants here, they left Daghestan and came to Turkey in early 1900s

Northern India component is interesting and should be handled with care, dont you think so? They are not pashtun etc but caucasians

It's surprising that your ancestors didn't mix with Turks throughout these years.

Northern Indians are obviously less Caucasoid than Pashtuns. And frankly I fail to see any direct link between Avars and Northern Indians.

As for the link between Avars and northern Indians, you need to know Turkic history and search about White Hun (Akhun) empire and their migration routes. White Huns (Ak Huns) ruled northern India for 150 years like Kushans before them for at least 400 years. Also international scholars like Harald Haarman, Sergei Tolstov, Omeljan Pritsak, Vladimir Minorsky, Timur Aytberov, Mehmet Tezcan..etc researched and wrote about the sameness of both group of Avars in their papers. As an Avar I have been reading and researching about it a lot. We didnt mix with other Turks that much but we are Turkic anyway

Most Northern Indians don't look like that, those are rare depigmented individuals. Actually, there are more light Pashtuns than Punjabis for example. Punjabi Jatts are like 40-45% South Asian while Afghan Pashtuns are only 25-30%. That's a big difference.
As for the rest of your comment, I really don't have an opinion on that.
