As we say here, "only in America"...

Fort Bragg reneges on promise to atheists (http://freethinker.co.uk/2011/03/04/big-trouble-brewing-in-n-carolina-after-fort-bragg-reneges-on-promise-to-atheists/)

Local story (http://www.therepublic.com/view/story/6e76a15ffa9d48ba831ea2c0950e7127/US--Bragg_Concert/) (I recommend having a look at the comments!!)

The Army's continued not so tacit support for evangelism is one of my least favorite things about it. During BCT, at one point, we were given the following option: attend a Fundie rock/prayer concert with food, drinks, etc. or clean the barracks. :tsk:

I remember BCT at Ft. Dix...Sunday Mornings either church or clean barracks. I do remember choosing cleaning the barracks though. (It also gave the opportunity to do laundry.) :p
