Many ethnic Russians look like her or even more 'Asian'. She is only around 5% mongoloid on GEDmatch, I have her number.

She looks more polish than russian
which makes sense, most of her russian ancestry is from southern/western regions.

Kursk and Rostov are absolutely Russian regions, nothing to do with Poland. And her Polish-born great-grandmother was not even an ethnic Pole (surname Hoffmann)

But those regions are closer to Poles genetically than let's say Moscow or Sainkt Petersburg, so Polish looks are gonna be more common there. Her german ancestry probably contributed to her polish look too.

Moscow and SPB have people from all over the place.
Russians are diverse, not everyone looks like Putin as some probably imagine (by the way, he looked different 20 years ago than nowadays).

Where is her Polish German from?

Is surname the only reason why you assume she was German?

That says nothing about overall ethnicity, lots of Polish people have surnames of German origin.

Hoffmann is a common surname in my region (Wielkopolska).

As for German surnames in Poland, check for example my thread about the Posener Aufstand (uprising of Polish people against Prussian rule in Provinz Posen of the German Empire in 1918-19) in the link below:

Around 10% of Polish insurgents had German surnames:

https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?245073-Battles-of-Greater-Poland-Uprising-1918-1919&p=5147778&viewfull=1#post5147778

Interestingly ca. 1/10 of Polish insurgents who died in the Greater Poland Uprising had German surnames.

Here is a list of all insurgents who died (including some listed as "NN" because their names are unknown):

You can't accuse them of being German if they were Polish patriots fighting against German rule.

Some of the surnames are unaltered German, others are Polonized German.

Note also the prevalence of typically Polish given names.

Honestly I think -wicz is mostly Eastern (east of Warsaw) originally. I have this ending myself.

So it is Mazovian? Mazovians are still Polish, even though genetically Baltic-shifted. It does not sound Belarusian to me but maybe there are some surnames that are both Polish and Belarusian.

This guy - nicks olszak and olszak-przytycki - is researching the origin of surnames in Poland:

https://genealodzy.pl/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-49092-postorder-asc-sid-863c70402414f45ce6562134459aa81c.phtml

But I have doubts about reliability (he is an amateur and his methodology is not clear to me).

He is mostly on forum gazeta.pl and forum genealodzy.pl I think.

This website ("Stankiewicze & friends" Genealogy) is more reliable:

http://www.stankiewicze.com/index.php?kat=44

About Marcinkiewicz (name found in Poland since the 13th century):

http://www.stankiewicze.com/index.php?kat=44&sub=812

"Marcinkiewicz - w grupie nazwisk pochodzących od imienia Marcin. Imię pochodzi od łacińskiego Martinus i oznaczało pierwotnie ‘należący do boga wojny Marsa’. W Polsce notowane od XIII wieku. Obok formy Macin spotyka się w średniowieczu Mercin, Morcin, Martyn."

Yeah I'm really curious what he could be modeled as in Gedmatch. I honestly thought he was Irish. Maybe I should stop assuming that because someone has red hair and beard. lol
