Yes, Portuguese people are homogenous and the scores are fairly consistent. Most European regions are a lot more heteregoneous, even when considering areas and regions that are smaller and that have less inhabitants than Portugal.

Ah, yes. They did not include Azores and Madeira on the map but it doesn't make much sense to divide Portugal between regions and islands like they do in some other nations. Like you have said before we are pretty homogenous.

Não posto aqui há anos (troquei pelo anthrogenica que é bem mais civil e pacífico), mas achei graça a este thread e decidi contribuir com os meus resultados que são pouco comuns. Tenho sempre componentes West Med, Atlantic, Iberian e afins altos em todos os testes do Eurogenes, o que me dá uma posição algo atípica para Português.

Como podes ver pelos restantes mapas os teus resultados não são assim tão atípicos quanto possas pensar. A minha namorada tem forte incidência e correlação com as samples Espanholas também.

Ainda não, os dela estão em analising desde dia 23. Desde que o meu entrou nessa fase demorou quase uma semana, portanto estou à espera que no fim de semana, ou no princípio da próxima, os dela estejam disponíveis. Depois posto aqui também, mas não estou à espera que seja tão estranho como o meu. Idanha está historicamente relativamente ligado à Extremadura Espanhola e às outra terras a sul do Serra da Estrela para eu esperar isolamento..mas também não estava à espera que os meus resultados fossem tão "aragoneses", portanto nunca se sabe

Sim, há uns dois ou três bastante parecidos comigo (o que em 75 não é muito), mas ainda assim não vejo nenhum ter tanta relação com Aragão e tão pouca com o resto do continente como eu. Por exemplo, o meu score mais alto com os Britânicos é 51, e o mais baixo 45, todos vocês têm mais que eu, ainda que estes que vou meter abaixo sejam parecidos comigo.

Não te sei dizer a localização exacta expecto que são Portugueses nativos.

No entanto tinha analisado aqui uns resultados de um gajo de Aveiro que estava bem próximo das samples de Aragão.

If you can, pass me their Eurogenes k13 coordinates (or results from the table of first results page with their components ,not the component percents from oracle results, please) I will add (if they are not repeated) to the small database I had with Iberian samples coordinates.

If you know their origins to make regional averages could be interesting ,or any indication about them(North/Center/South Portugal, Azores or Madeira), minimum 3 grandparents from the same region area and one from a neighbouring region/area to be included in any regional average.

If they are mixed or their origins are not clear (but sure that they are 100% Portuguese) they will be to the Portugal national average.

I don´t ask you for the number kits because I understand that those are private data.

If you can, pass me their Eurogenes k13 coordinates (or results from the table of first results page with their components ,not the component percents from oracle results, please) I will add (if they are not repeated) to the small database I had with Iberian samples coordinates.

They are all native Portuguese but only a few I know the specific region (some from Açores, Madeira and Aveiro) so I guess that creating a national average would be better. I have all the first 80 kits in a notepad, from then on I stopped taking note of the kit number. I am not sure if all of them are still working, especially since Gedmatch was acquired by Verogen and I am assuming that quite a few will not be listed as "public" anymore. It will take me sometime to run all of their K13 but if you are willing to wait I might try to send you tomorrow night. Tomorrow I have an early apointment so I must go to bed soon but after the morning is past I will have the rest of the day off.

Take into account that if we make a Portuguese national average with a great number of samples and then we make regional averages for Spain, most likely Portugueses will score often in Spanish components than in Portugueses.(indepently of your homogeneity, your reference will represent around 12 million people, and some Spanish regions are very close genetically to Portugueses, and my initial intention was to make 17 regional references or even comarcal references)

And if you don´t want to make regional references, think at least that making several Portuguese references by genetic clusters (not by geographical areas) in order to get better distances and aavoid what I told you in the previous paragraph.

Don´t worry about kit numbers, that is not for the Gedmatch project, is just to try to make better references (if we are able to make them better).

We have already 13 Portuguese references, the first Portuguese average I posted had only 7.

And 42 Spanish samples in some days maybe a pair of dozens more.

But we are more focused in Spanish, so if you can pass some Portugueses, better.:thumb001:
