There usually ok for the most part, they can't get out of line as much like in the Western nations. It depends on the Indian in question, there is some negative elements that are seen, but most see them as ok and somewhat feel sorry for them due to the colonial mentality they exhibit. in Iraq most of the South Asian workers are Bengalis who are Muslims, and they tend to work as waiters or airport courtesy clerks, their not really problematic. In the Gulf, many local Arabs believe there is to much Indians and others in their homelands, however they know that their economies need workers, because the population is to small like in the UAE. Some of the Arabs did not like some of the practices that the Indian migrants brought, but that's not really because their Indian, but most of them are from the lower classes there. Arabs can be very racist but their racism is usually toward all others, and honestly Europeans don't escape that racism, because it's passive-aggressive, for example there was a time many British expats ended up being homeless and the locals would throw rocks and money in humiliating fashion toward them lol. Arabs are not really hostile to Indians, but there some negative elements seen with them, those who respect the culture, locals and relatively integrate don't have much problems.

Shafeeq Sheikh, a former physician at Baylor College of Medicine, was sentenced to 10 years of probation on Friday and will have to register as a sex offender. A 12-person jury found him guilty of sexually assaulting a patient five years prior, the Houston Chronicle reported.

This is my first ever comment in youtube. First of all, I’m sorry to hear what happened to you. I had the same experienced. Me and my friend, traveled to India for charity event sponsored by japan government, but me and one of my friend decided to stay longer, after some of our members left, the hotel staff also changed. We started to feel uncomfortable. Calling us baby and honey. We also experienced the phone calls. asking us for a date and yes, the moaning. The worst is they gave my personal information also to the guy who followed us from the street to our hotel. he started calling me on my personal number and when I stop answering him he came to our hotel and keep knocking. I opened it once when I heard a voice of a old woman. to my surprised it is his mother and asking me if I can marry his son. Without saying anything I shut the door. As far as I remember, they stay there for 6 hours they keep begging us to open the door. My friend is helpless and crying all day. We tried to sneak out. When we didn’t hear anything out side the door we run to the lobby as fast as we can. We just bring our wallets, passport and ID. We go the police station and ask for assistant. They asked us a money. It was like 100,000 Japanese yen. We thought we going to be safe when we arrived to police station but we didn’t. It was a huge mistake. Some of the police officers also asking our personal info and calling us babe or honey. We gave them money but they didn’t do anything we just sitting there for almost 8 hours and when we asked them they said they will send us back to the hotel at night and stay in our door while we in that hotel. We felt that they also planning something that’s why we asked that we going outside to eat but they didn’t let us to go outside. Then I received a call from my mom, and told her what happened. After 3 hours the personnel from Japan embassy came with police escort. They the one who helped us to file an report to the hotel staff and the police who asked us for money. On the same day we flight back to Japan. We don’t care anymore what happened. Until now my friend doesn’t want to travel outside Japan and it took me a year to travel alone after what happened. We also experienced smelling our hair and say dirty words while we are walking outside. It’s really scary experienced. The decomposed body of the Latvian tourist was found - hung upside down, head severed - in a forest last month.



Two suspects have been arrested. The police say they lured her, drugged and sexually assaulted her.

The woman had arrived in Thiruvananthapuram in February. She was hoping to find solace at one of the ayurvedic centres the state is famous for. A few weeks later, she went to a beach in Kovalam and never returned. According to her sister, who accompanied her to India, she didn't tell her before leaving the centre.

On April 21, the police found a woman's decomposed body near a mangrove forest in Thiruvallam. The woman's sister identified her body and the DNA samples confirmed it.

The suspects, say police sources, are drug peddlers. One of them is a repeat offender who has sexually abused women and men in the past in the same isolated marshy area where the victim's body was found, sources added.

According to NDTV report, senior police officials confirmed that "her postmortem report didn't reveal much because the body was badly decomposed". However, police sources said they have been able to confirm that the accused had the motive of rape and murder.

"It was a blind case. Even with various means of investigation and scientific evidence, we could find that it was rape and murder. The victim was lured into this area, given drugs and sexually assaulted. She was murdered when she resisted," NDTV reported senior police Officer Manoj Abraham saying.

The arrest comes 10 days after her body was discovered. "The accused thought they will be able to give it an impression of suicide if they left the body hanging. We have worked on circumstantial evidence and have made a water-tight case. The police officers who probed the case will be given a badge of honour," Kerala DGP Loknath Behera said.

The woman's sister, who was earlier upset with the way the investigation was being done, now says the police have done their best. "Senior police officer Manoj Abraham has been in touch with me. I know they are doing their best to investigate and ensure justice. I am satisfied with what they are doing, and don't want to delve into the past," she said.

The woman's funeral was held on Thursday in Thiruvananthapuram and there will be a memorial on Sunday. "It will be a tribute to her life," the woman's sister was quoted as saying by NDTV. She added, "My sister loved Kerala and received a lot of love and support. We don't want to leave India with bad memories."
