early latin tribes were proably dinaric and alpine, both phenotype that have variety between light and dark complexion, when later admixture with other italic tribes happened they became mainly alpine meds which still today is the main phenotype of italy.

if we were to have a morph of all italian people in the year 1 AD and in 2018 i'm pretty confident the result would be the same,

I agree, I tend to encounter more southern Slavs and they look more Balkan than those in Bosnia, Croatia and Northern Serbia.
Same could be applied to Italians. Southern Italians are much more Italian than northern ones.

What early Latin Tribes? I've never heard of any early Latin tribes. As we all remember well, Italy was colonized from Greece and Anatolia in 10th century B.C.
Ancient Greek writers say that before arrival of those people Italy was empty (as much as America 1492) with just a few Celts running around in the north.

True Italians cluster with Greeks for obvious reasons, while others much less for the reason they have more Germanic admixture. I say true Italians are those
in the South only because they have more Hellenic dna (Two Sicilies etc..).

You studied bad. Never heard about Italic tribes? Greeks didn't find an "empty" Italy when they were fleeing from Greece...

Colonized by Anatolia? You must be kidding dude. :picard1:

And besides neither America was empty when Spanish Conquistadores arrived...

From where those Latin tribes came? Who gave them Latin language?

Strabo said: "Rome was Peloponnesian (Arcadian) colony founded by Hellene Evandros (Εὔανδρος) of Pallene" Strabo Geographica V 111.3

Heraclides Ponticus stated in one of his documents that Rome was "πολις Ελληνις" in 4th century B.C. (300+ years after foundation and nearly 200 years before Roman and Hellenic world came into collision)

Plutarchus said that Pelasgians (the ancestors of classical age Hellenes) founded Rome.

Pausians while describing the Arcadia mentions that Romans are Arcadians.

Which classical source do YOU have for "Latin Tribes"?

Just because they adopted a modified etrusco/greek alphabet greeks claimed they were greek , but they were not.

Greek colonies are maritime , Rome was founded in a sheperd-warrior based society with the assimiliation of several sheperd warrior clans each one claiming a position a favour in the various Hills. Early romans where highlander warriors

nothing to do with Greeks until some time later.

Etruscans are Lydians and Aeneas, a Trojan Hero is from Anatolia and is Anatolian Greek.

So? Do you think only Italians take part in parades? If you can't prove it with name then your pic is just like every random pic took from the web. And besides, just having an Italian sounding name doesn't mean he might have foreign ancestry.

Predominantly Dinaric and Pontid people.

That is nonsense, they would not have looked like the South Slavs or Anatolians (for different reasons obviously). And Greeks maybe just the southern ones because . I thought the ancient Romans came from Central Europe and were Dinaric, Noric, Alpine, etc. That is actually closer to north Italy types now, not Greece. Mostly r1b rather than J I would think but maybe a blend with Etruscans later

Anyhow.. the guy in the original picture looks maybe a bit tanned or atypical in that way but I'm sure you can find
