Today I have been very lazy and I did nothing.

Woke up.

I feel tired.

Gonna go drink some tea.

Plan for the day

- Filipino stick fighting
- dumb bells and push ups
- jogging

Mantra of the day, just because there is a humanoid figure infront of you and it has arms and you did some movements and it looked cool or sophisticated, doesnt mean its practical, doesnt guarantee that thats the position the enemy will be in and that, thats how you can respond

Scenarios should be natural and realistic

"A punch is always easier to throw at the heat of the moment"

I want to spot those overconfident, physically hard, dim witted types that unleash a barrage of strikes

And those that throw and back off

Boxing and judo.

Good enough to fight off a gang of Blacks, spic beaners, White or Euro Trash, or MENAs.

or I can call my cousin in Atlanta who owns several Glocks...hahah.

Boxing as in fast, hard, accurate punch will KO one guy on the spot

But combining them with kicks is even better.

I'm going to focus on my-position-in-relation-to-the-position- of my opponent, distance, angles, my body's movements and opponents movements

I imagine kicking a small box like thing on the ground and it moving rapidly to the side and me kicking it again

My imgination could be so deceptive that I imagine kicking it successfully twice, when in truth its speed could be so great as to escape me

It would be nice to train on something as real as this!

Hypothetically the closest things I can find in the real world are two poles close to each other, the first pole and second pole would be the same object in position A and position B respectively

(the object could stop momentarily at A for a split second and moving to B or it just moving with me kicking it being A and again at B)

Gotta train with both in mind

I thinking kicking on a real thing and trying to capture it in the mind's eye can improve the imagination

It could be used as a springboard for other more fantastical hypothetical scenarios

Real objects hardness, physicality, tangibility(as opposed to blurry vagueness), a placement in a scene

I am going to focus on these things more... its extremely important for me

For now its more important than dexterity or busting complex moves

why are you punching a switch ?

Vigilance

why are you punching a switch ?

Its small, it is at about a medium tall human height, so its reasonable

Better to aim at a very particular fixed spot than to imagine spots on a punching bag for those beyond beginners level.

Sorry but it sounds like you are doing everything wrong.
If you want to train power punches then hit your punching bag.
If you want to train accurate punches use a floor to ceiling ball or get a friend to hold pads for you to hit.
If you dont have a floor to ceiling bag just yet you can improvise, even hanging a tennis sized ball by some string or rope from somewhere and just moving around and jabbing and punching it semi shadow boxing style no need to punch hard, you can also train distance this way to by moving in and out while punching.

You dont need to punch hard to train technique and accuracy, shadowboxing is very good for this too.
Also use a speedball to develop hand flow and speed.
In striking developing hand flow is very important, spend as much time on these as you do hitting the heavy bag.

how many pushups do you usually do max ?
how many sit ups crunches ?
start skipping.
stop hitting the light switch , you are only gonna to break it then you will hve to train in the dark.

Gotta develop techniques where I air punch alternating, sliding frames

The direction in this vid
https://youtu.be/NcMeVP--usM

For me as a swordsmen, ideally trying to slash two of those flying around round quidditch thinggies from Harry Potter would be perfection

- sometimes you might be moving, and your vision-frame will also be moving

If you are moving to the left and your target is center to right he will peel away to the right and you will have to reach to the right

- even when you are punched and you stumble and you try to strike back or when you move by yourself or owing to the opponent moving, your centre of focus/target/opponent will also move

- when you throw a hook with the left, your opponent might sway to the right upon impact and yourself might follow through swerving rightwards

Whether following through with the left or right upon him, he's still moving

I hear you brother and I agree with everything that you're saying.

- agree with skipping, nice little cardio to get the rhythm flowing, some warm up for the legs, , movement for the whole body in lieu with the hands, very pump up feel exercise and the world looks its moving

- I just started doing push ups, I do like 3-5 then rest for a while

Sit ups 30 reps every 10 mins

Dumb bells (very light for now) constantly

Just woke up.

Throat feels hoarse and chest feels asthmatic. I used inhalers. Which reminds me that I gotta go jogging.

Today I feel like I have to have salads and fruits.

Going for a redbull drink cheat. Will burn the sugars out through jogging.

No serious martial arts training today.

Today is silent, meditation and prayer day.

Dana White apparently signed in this new kid O' Malley. People are commenting on how he's so new school and everything.

I saw a clip about him by mindsmash. I got the impression of coolness and fluidness. Nice moving and a good ability to assess and predict his opponent. He is very rangy.

I love/hate him because he's so hard for me to process and understand.

Today is O Malley studying day for me!

I realized that my BMI is severely overweight at 28.7

The ideal weight for my height is 55kg.

This explains why I don't feel as energetic as I was 2 years ago.

Sucks dick. Not only do I have to train for MMA now I also have make extreme weight cuts.

Just ran 1km in 5 minutes. I wasn't even trying. I just ran casually. The calorie counter on the Android remarked "that's good!".

Did research and apparently it's good for beginners.

Seems exceptional considering that I'm

- overweight as fuck almost obese
- ran for the first time
- didn't even try hard

1) Total time ran in this bout 1.43 km, 09:39, 126 cal

It's very difficult to have solid focus in weight lifting/body building when I'm literally starving eating one meal a day and running 10 km per day also.

But yeah I'm lifting weights every alternate day.

Right now my body is disgusting. My BMI is 28.7 which overweight nearly hitting obese/highly overweight. I have a Roy Nelson belly for my size with love handles and all.

Weight lifting drains me out and takes my focus away from striking.

Would it not be better to get down to a decent weight before paying so much to attend that MMA gym?

Nope.

The faster you start training any combat, the better. No matter your shape. Especially striking.

Although I think, early 20s is probably the best.

Heavy bags and mitts/padwork are High Intensity Training. The best type of exercise to do where the strain is high because you won't even know you're exercising. I gas out at one session 3 mins of constant very fast paced mittwork/muay thai pads with full power.

It gives me the same exhaustion as running 2.5 km nonstop at a good speed.

Which would you rather do?

Anyways I'm already too old to start training for MMA as I'm 30. So all the more to not waste my time.

Alright, I was under the impression you were late teens/early 20s. I've done the whole starvation thing and it's not ideal to keep it up for more than a few months. What are you eating in your daily meal?

I eat something that I thoroughly enjoy since it's my only meal.

Like an "Indian Muslim" non-vegetarian meal or a Western Chicken steak.

I enjoy a small bag of chocolate pillows. It's too little to have an impact my sugar/carbs/calories.
