Can he pass as a North American Indian (from the US and Canada)?

I've visited the Navajo and I think he would pass. Watching Asian media is interesting, because occasionally you will see someone (almost always male) who will look exactly like a Plains Indian. This is especially true when they have long hair, as they often do in historical dramas.

I've been to a good number of Indian reservations, there is a lot more overlap between Native Americans and East/Southeast Asians than people usually imagine.

Do you agree that the overlap is more common with men than women? Or am I wrong?

Didn't really notice a gender difference. Plenty of Natives can pass for Asians and vice versa. Don't think it's the majority but a solidly large minority.

I agree. As you venture further north they look more and more East Asian.

This First Nations man looks VERY east asian (from my observations, many canadian aboriginals actually look north asian based on experience)

These inuit children also have overlaps with mongolians, siberians, turkics, chinese, japanese, koreans.

Actually, I do have a special place in my heart for native americans, canadian aboriginals and inuit peoples. Visiting reserves and First Nations communities were some of the most memorable experiences in my life and totally molded much of the way I think and feel. I'm not a native american yet being in their company, I felt a sense of belonging like no other that's difficult to explain.
