Ancestry from Mardin, Turkey. Further proof that Syriacs from Turkey are more related to Levantines than to their Mesopotamian Assyrian counterparts in Iraq.

Levantine with additional Caucasus input basically.

Yeah, which for the most part should be true for the native people of South/Eastern Turkey. Do you have any Turkish results from Mardin to compare with?

He even seems to have a pinch of Turkish in him.

What are his Dod K12b results?

I don't have any Turkish results from Mardin. Mardin is majority Kurdish and Arabic so it would be very difficult to find turkish samples there

Not very similar to Mardin/Tur Abdin Assyrians who obviously for starters don’t score SSA. Actually this guy’s score is pretty similar to a Sunni Arab Syrian who posts on another forum about the same West Asian. Also there’s no such thing as Assyrian muslims. They are not Assyrian converts as we can see here.

Not sure why you speak of things you clearly have no grasp on. First you call people Syriacs from Turkey when the overwhelming majority refer to themself Assyrians. Second you don't even know that the most hardcore Assyrians are Church of the East Assyrians who are from the Hakkari and Sirnak regions(pre 1914 ofc) in Turkey. I've also showed you on your other suspicious thread that Syriac Orthodox from Tur Abdin are genetically identical to other Assyrians.

Obviously he's close to Syrians. Majority of Syrians are of Syriac ancestry. Also Syriacs lack the heavy South Asian input to be fully Mesopotamian Assyrians. Now stop spamming my threads and make your own if you will.

How am I spamming? I'm just answering a troll. You post a Muslim Arab result and then draw a conclusion of what Syriac Christians from Turkey(who you don't even know what they look like auDNA wise) are like. If you don't see the error in that logic...
I've showed you now twice what actual Tur Abdin Assyrians score like on Gedmatch but you don't seem to bother responding to that.

Btw averages for Eurogenes K13
Assyrian 3.756666667 South Asian (32.62 West Asian)
Syrian 3.436666667 South Asian (21.61 West Asian)

Yeah indeed so South Asian shifted in comparision to them
Syrian's themself just like Iraqi Arabs(and other Arabs of the ME) are very diverse and mixed with basically all other Muslims of the area check here: http://s1.zetaboards.com/anthroscape/topic/5976668/1/

He believes that no Assyrian converted to Islam lol. There many Assyrians who did such as the Malhami. The Malhami form a significant part of the non-tribal Arabs in Mosul. Not to mention many in Mosul are also partially of Assyrian origins but were Arabized and Islamized. What makes some Mosuli Arab results different they have heavily intermarried with Kurds. In fact there are even Arabized Kurds there. So the results will be quite different. Bedouins from Mosul were quite close to Yemenite Jews, almost identical. Some Mosuli Arabs might have little bit of East African which might indicate an Arabian ancestor. Also the Arabs often moved into tribes, rather than few male warriors, which means that there women and children moved with them. This why Iraqi Bedouin mtDNA is not different than that is found in the Arabian peninsula and is close in it's pattern to that of Jordanian and Negev Bedouins also. The Malhami themselves identify as Muslim Assyrians, although many of them have become Arabized. Some of the the South Asian is indeed from the Mesopotamian element or from Iranic/Persian source in Iraqi Arabs, but it drops more west you go. Several cities also state they were originally Christian before Timur's invasion, which most converted to Islam, but it's not clear if they were ethnic Arab or Mesopotamian in origins.

Cool story though.
Nah but no Assyrian gets a distance of 7 to the Assyrian sample on Eurogenes K13, although ofc he probably has some ancient Assyrian roots like many Syrians. Though the Siberian is interesting but then again I'm not surprised by pseudo Arab results at this point, they are highly diverse. But I don't expect you to get this though, the view of identity and ethnic belonging among us Assyrian is very different from how you Arabs see it. I mean you don't plot anywhere near Saudis and consider yourself an Arab.

Don't know how many times I have to tell you this but Mosul and other Northern Iraqi Arabs are not much different from other Iraqi Arabs and aren't particularly Mesopotamian in origin. They like many other Arabs in Iraq are heavily Iranic shifted.
All of the Gedmatch kits from the Iraqi project were posted here (https://www.theapricity.com/forum/showthread.php?245352-Random-GEDmatch-kits/page5) on TA.

So basically both your parents are Arabized non-Arabs originally. Assyrian and Berber.
