I have observed quite strong patterns.

For instance there is a correlation between Slavic toponymy and Slavic DNA in Germany, Austria and in Denmark.

About Slavic admixture in Danish islands:

1) Slavic toponymy:

2) Slavic admixture:

In Mecklenburg there is also a correlation, with more Slavic admixture in areas where density of Slavic toponyms is higher.

Rostock area has a lot of Slavic toponymy (including the name of the city itself) and 32.4% of R1a (sample size = 96 men). Greifswald area - to the east of Rostock - has only 12% Slavic toponyms (88% are Germanic toponyms) and only 19.2% of R1a (n=104).

In East Tyrol (Austria) a correlation was observed between % of R1a and % of pasture names of Slavic and Romance origin.

Mainland balkans is soaked in slavic toponyms except for maybe 1 or 2 small pockets or islands

What about Non-Slavic toponyms in South Slavic countries?
