You are right that they are Ancient surnames , but i think the British Empire in CY forced the people to change their surnames_with a newer system Brits brought . Almost all of Cypriots lost track of their origins .That's why most Cypriots surnames use -ou(Georgi-ou,Nikola-ou and so on). So if Pontic Greeks and any Greeks came in Cy after 1900's , there is a high possibility they brought such surnames back :) .

The majority of Armenians in My country are mostly armenoids and asiatic alpines. OFC there are metbid and some other mixed phenotypes.but the majority of them are hyperbrachy skull shape.

Pontians are more Close with Lazs, Georgians and other CAUCASian Groups.
