That was long ago. I dont know if he still does it, but that was back then when 23andme had only a 3 Ancestry Population Oracle. European, Asian and African and he could give you more info, but now its not neccessary anymore with all the new things out there. His is anyways old and worse then what is now.

The most interesting thing is how it appears at FTDNA - 4% Central Asian instead of South Asian. This is somewhat complicated, because while I think one of my old ancestors is Turkmen (therefore I get some South Asian), I don't know if this is somewhat true - maybe it's Afghan/Pakistani/Indian, for example. Sometimes I get 1% at East Asian or Southeast Asian, but still complicated.

I am trying to help him out actually because that he is american indian is not his true identity neither what he truly wants. He used to identify before, now he says he was a transracial back then, probably he does that because of one drop rule and white supremacist system. He thinks he can be american indian but not white. I dont identify as southasian either if i had to pick between southasian and white i would pick white. I identify as gypsy though, but gypsy eventhough originated from india exists seperately from indians (just like jews are not arabs) doesnt matter that they are mixed, they are a blend by now through selection and inbreeding and isolation they have even their own clade of H1 ydna and at some Ks there is a roma component which peaks in bulgarian roma. It was even on gedmatch but it was removed.

I'm 82% Caucasian and while I don't consider myself white I was labeled as one in Europe and US. So, taxonomy is far more plausible than genetics when it comes to define what is white or not.
