Quadroon looking? Bullshit. This is one of those cases where classifications are tailored as you know where he’s from i.e. Portuguese African island. If you said he was Spanish you would never say that.

Paternal Great-grandmother (bisavó paterna) Isabel Rosa da Piedade was born in Cabo Verde. She left to Madeira at age 16.
She married with José Aveiro (for those who don't know, Aveiro is a district South of Porto, North of Coimbra and West of Viseu in mainland Portugal) in Madeira.
They had a son Humberto, who married with Filomena.
Humberto and Filomena were the parents of José Dinis Aveiro who married with Maria Dolores dos Santos, and had Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro.

So 1 of the 8 great-grandparents of Cristiano Ronaldo was born in Cabo Verde.
Assuming she was 100% African, in a very basic estimation, Cristiano Ronaldo would be something like 100% : by 8 = 12,5%.

But it might be the case that this Great-grandmother was not 100% African, which is very likely. Cabo Verde was uninhabited before the arrival of the Portuguese and it is a very mixed archipelago.

Haplogroups do not dictate completely the % in Autossomal DNA.
For instance, even with my mtDNA (Olalde has found a sample in Madrid dated from 2300 BC), Eurogenes K13 and K15 give me around 3% African.

We will only know if Cristiano makes a DNA test, and that will even depend on the company.


Again, I find this to be biased against the Portuguese.

Because Cristiano is a Portuguese guy from Madeira, everyone sees and stresses the non-European.

But what about Antoine Griezmann?
His entire maternal family comes from Paços de Ferreira, Porto district. But the name "Lopes" doesn't show up in his ID. So most people only see him as a guy with a Germanic name, neglecting the fact that he is 50% Portuguese...

technically its wrong because Faelid is a Cm altered by Nordoid source, even if its just subtle. He is Med + Cm. His mother and sister look pretty unreduced Cm
