True about cocaine usage causing nasal collapse - but you flatly accused him of using cocaine - when there's various reasons why a person could have a nose like that.

It's unfair to pin a false judgement and accusation on someone of being a drug-addict (just cos they're a heavy metal star and a multi-millionaire,) who is simply the victim of a broken nose from childhood.

His clean-cut lifestyle doesn't strike me as one of a drug user.

How would this talented musician manage to fly planes, attend church, play golf, manage his restaurant in Florida, hold down a long-term marriage and successfully raise his sons... if he was using drugs?! :icon_ask:


McBrain is married to Rebecca McBrain (née Dempsy) and has two sons: Nicholas (born 1983) and Justin (born 1992). He lives in Boca Raton, Florida.

McBrain converted to Christianity in 1999 after an experience in the Spanish River Church, near his Boca Raton home. His wife, Rebecca, had been asking him to attend with her, and upon entering the church, McBrain soon found himself crying as he experienced a "calling". Recounting the tale, he said "I just sat there thinking, 'I didn't drink last night... why can't I stand?' I had this love affair with Jesus going on in my heart."

In 1988, McBrain appeared as a guest on The Sooty Show, in which he played drums with Sooty and Sweep. In reference to his appearance on the show, McBrain's drum kit has since been decorated with a Sooty puppet, which is often dressed accordingly with the band's corresponding tours.

McBrain has a pilot's licence, for which he has a twin engine rating.

In 2009 he opened a restaurant called Rock 'N' Roll Ribs in Coral Springs, Florida. The restaurant received positive reviews on an episode of Check, Please! South Florida and was awarded "Best Ribs of 2012" by New Times Broward-Palm Beach.

McBrain is a fan of snooker and has attended the World Snooker Championships at the Crucible Theatre, Sheffield. He also enjoys playing golf in his spare time, along with his bandmate Dave Murray, and is a friend of Swedish golfer and Florida resident Jesper Parnevik, whom he met at Ullna Golf Club in Sweden. Since he is a lifelong enthusiast of Jaguar Cars, the manufacturer built a custom XKR-S model to McBrain's specifications in 2012.


If his nose bothered him, he could have surgery, but his nose clearly doesn't bother him and has never held him back in life... because he has a loving marriage, two sons, happiness, love, success, fame, fortune, etc.

Also the lead vocalist of Iron Maiden - Bruce Dickinson - is a Boeing air pilot captain (who flew passengers out of a danger-zone to safety,) and he still holds down his regular job of being a Captain pilot for Boeing aircraft passengers flying around the globe on holidays, (despite being a multi-millionaire and the lead vocalist of Iron Maiden.) He doesn't need to work and could retire from his regular job if he wanted to... but he clearly has a passion for flying and singing.

Bruce Dickinson also regularly flies his band in their own special custom-designed Ed Force One Iron Maiden aeroplane to carry all their heavy metal musical equipment to large concerts around the globe.... and he is strongly anti-drugs, and is into fitness regimes, sword-fighting, narrating and broadcasting documentaries, etc.

McBrain is 68, and he's still fit and going strong, and performing to massive audiences at rock venues around the world.

This mega-successful heavy-metal band with a career at the top of the music industry and spanning many decades - don't strike me at all as drug users:
