They are not the same thing.
Brunns often have elongated skulls but they are robust and with large dimensions:

Upper Paleolithic survivors of Brunn and Faelid stock are often long-skulled, with long and broad face (Brunn) or square/sometimes a more elongated square face shape (Faelid). Well-developed browridges are a characteristic of both (Brunn type has a higher forehead) and strong jaws also. Absolute facial dimensions, bizygomatic breadth and skull dimensions are impressive.
The more robust Aurignacids, like Cordeds, Iranids and Atlanto-Mediterraneans, also have large absolute facial and skull dimensions. All of these three are often mildly hypsicranic (Pontids, too) and all have impressive head height.
Gracile Mediterraneans, for instance, are simply narrow-faced, narrow-featured and have protruding occiputs. They don't have large facial dimensions, nor skull ones. Nose is hyperleptorrhine because of being very narrow but not very long. They are chamaecranic/low-skulled. Eyes are protruding, no browridge is present. Smaller skeleton, short height and infantile features are characteristics of theirs.

Ok, so gracile means just progressive features, while elongated means long bones?

Gracile = infantile, narrow, of slender and short build (however, in our era even generally slender types sometimes get overweight but that's a different matter).
Elongated = with large facial and skull dimensions, larger features, tall or average height, generally stronger (often mesomorph) build.

Are the Japanese people a good example of gracile persons?

Largely, yes. Things you mentioned are related to the respective types, though they are only part of the distinction (I explained the rest). Gracile types are progressive but not all progressive types are gracile.

Are the Japanese people a good example of gracile persons?
Compared to the average European in most regions - yes.
Compared to other East Asians - no.

So wich east asians are more gracile than Japanese
Koreans, large number of Chinese and Thai people, etc.
On the other hand, Mongolians often have robust and primitive Tungid features. Indonesians and Malays show Melanesian admixture and are often more robust than Japanese, too.

bizygomatic, Aurignacids, hypsicranic, occiputs, hyperleptorrhine, chamaecranic

Honestly had no idea of what these mean. Almost like an alien language until I read the easier:
