I'm going to start this thread with the recommendation of this anime called as "Petshop of Horrors",

Petshop of Horrors

Pet Shop of Horrors (Pettoshoppu obu Horāzu?) Is a Japanese horror anime that tells the story of a pet shop located in Chinatown, where each animal is wanted by a person who buys it as a perfect animal, but the person must sign a contract with 3 conditions. In all cases people violate the rules, so there is always a consequence. The anime has only 4 episodes and the manga has 10 volumes. In both manga and anime each story begins with the letter D, which comes from devil or demon, or comes from Count D (pet shop owner).

The best animes, in my view, are: death note, the alchemist, attack on titan, sword art online, overlord and Tokyo ghoul.
Mirai Nikki is also nice, if you like blood hahaha

Good indications but i don't like much violent animes. I prefer more psychologycal animes( full of good messages for life) and also thriller and horror animes( but not necessarly violent). Adventure animes with a lot of fun moments are good too.

Lol ok, but it don't need to be exagerately violent. Most violent animes focuses much on fights, wich i don't think as a good thing.

I have watched only The Cat Returns( Neko No Ongaeshi) and now i am watching The Wind Rises( Kaze Tachinu) but just by these two i can already see that Myazaki is unique!

Yuyu Hakusho is one of my favourite animes. Its is fun and shows a lot of Japanese culture and religions( Shintoism and Buddhism)

Yu yu Hakusho is also a very good anime, even though it is an old one.

Synopsis:
Yusuke Urameshi(浦飯 幽助,Urameshi Yūsuke) is the main protagonist of the manga & anime series Yu Yu Hakusho. He is a Spirit Detective who is tasked with protecting Human World from various supernatural threats over the course of the series and his closest friends as well as greatest allies include Kuwabara, Kurama, Hiei, Keiko, Genkai, KoenmaandBotan.
He is also the defactoleader of Team Urameshiand the general person to look to when the going gets tough.

At the start of the series, Yusuke is a teenage delinquent / street fighter with little to no positive qualities to his character. Over the course of the series, he starts becoming a better person, changing into an almost altruistic defender of the Human World.

Do you know Yuyu Hakusho? I've heard Yuyu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter are very similar in some points but i don't know, i have not seen Hunter x Hunter

In my view Hunter x Hunter is very different from Yu yu hakusho, they might have some similarities because both are shounen, but that is it.
I have found Hunter X Hunter more interesting, but the last season (the one about those mutant ants)was rubbish to me.

I think so, mainly the oldest version. It is most similar to Naruto tho. Just start HxH now... You can also improve your english watching with english subtitles.

More than just immature. There is something off with them. That has almost always been my impression when I come across one.

For example: There was an English chick who was really into anime who would come to these forums that had a sexual fetish for boys who were barely into puberty. There is always some type weirdness with a person really deep into anime.

Lol i think i have never seen cases like this. But there are really a lot of persons that what anime to escape from real life and live a ilusion of a perfect life, like a dream. It is very similar to drug addicts.

Right, childish was indeed not a proper word to describe it, but most anime’s target audience are nerds in their late teens or early twenties. In my early thirties, I do still enjoy anime, but I’m way more picky than I was several years ago, and I am not sure about how much of a role nostalgia plays here.
