At present I don't have the required skills to handle an instrument but my uncle is a rather good pianist and I suppose that one is never too old to learn.. so maybe I will give it a try.

I've played piano, organ (and even harpsichord for a while), and I've had a great technique. However I stopped playing many years ago, sometimes I do play, when I can dispose of an instrument. My technical skills have deteriorated a lot since that time.

I took weekly piano lessons from age 5 to age 16. I can also play very basic guitar.

I once knew how to play this, if it counts (on the 5th and 6th grade) :D

Cello, violin, and guitar. The guitar isn't a classical guitar, but you can still play some basic classical pieces on a good ol' modern acoustic. The violin I was teaching myself when I was without my cello, which is why it has the stickers on the neck, and a rubber mute over the bridge.

Oh! And throughout middle school I played the alto-saxophone. Our teacher would have us play saxophone versions of pieces like The Swan throughout the majority of our instruction. I still love the sax (listening to it), but it's a pain in the arse.

I used to play the trumpet, but I sucked at it. I wasn't dedicated enough to learn how to play well, and I was quite slow. Pretty much the only thing I liked about it was reading music. I didn't actually like playing the music.

See my enthusiasm?

I'd like to play Piano, mostly because I think it would suit me as somebody who likes to read music, just not play it. I think I'll take lessons whenever I'm settled and I have free time.

If you can play recorder, you can play flute or saxophone.
