Who is "Greek" representing on MyHeritage?

Here is why I ask:

A lot of Greek users have complained they receive a large amount of what is designated as "Balkan" but a lower amount of Greek than what some Albanians get.

Similarly, most of my Sicilian cousin matches from Palermo province on MyHeritage score large amounts of Greek 40-60%+ and I have seen people from mainland southern Italy and eastern Sicily scoring even higher. Of the few Greek islander results I have seen, Greek also predominates.

Is MyHeritage's "Greek" category predominantly based on islanders or southern Greeks? If so, why would Albanians score it?

I would guess Mainland based on my own results; 60% Greek, 20% Italian, 9% Balkan, 10% West Euro. Very odd estimate for me.

I've seen people try to say it is warped because it includes Cypriots.

Then why do so many Albanians get majority Greek? What historical tie do Albanians have with Cypriots?

I got 77% Greek, 12% West Asian, 6% Ashkenazi, 4% Eastern European. Something like that

Cyber don't be a fool. Wake the fuck up , the vast majority of the so called Greek minority of Southern Albania is just Albos claiming to be Greek so they get benefits. Actually they don't claim Greek but Vlach ( Coban in Albanian ) ancestry.The Greek state knows it but they act like they don't because it's in their benefit.

Those results aren't typical for a Kosovar. They score on average more mix of Greek and Balkan, but there are some that get pred. Greek too. And even pred. Balkan.

I got a mix of Greek and Balkan myself. Albanians get less Greek than mainland Greeks and not more, at least North Albanians as we are more North we get more Balkan.

The Greek on MyHeritage only covers Southern Balkans and Ghegs as a whole are more Northern shifted than that cluster therefore on average cannot score up to 100% Greek. The Greek isn't the same as South East Europe on myorigins or Balkan on 23andme as those two actually cover the whole Balkans and on those I score 100% Balkan / South East Europe. There would of been a difference in North and South shift even among native people. Ghegs even as a whole are more North than Tosks. Some Tosks are even more South than mainland Greeks. Even some Ghegs can be but it ain't your average Gheg.

Besides, MyHeritage is a piece of crap. Same way Italy/Greece on AncestryDNA doesn't cover the whole Balkans and which is why Albos there get some East Europe as a North shift since we are more North than the Italy/Greece cluster.
