But please remember that these reconstructions are very much up to the reconstructor to decide how he/she wants the object to look like. Take a look at the thread about German Moora. There are four different interpretations. Maybe the reconstructor here wanted the Bockstenmannen to have a distinct SkandoNordid look.

Your point is correct. Reconstructions are just probabilistic, far from certain. This guy looks pure Germanic Aryan. Moora's reconstruction, on the other hand, seems very crude. Her skull looks long and relatively angular. No doubt she would have been classified as some sort of Scando-Nordid, but the reconstruction makes her round faced and very Baltid. Odd... Not that a Baltid in Germany is not plausible, but Germany is a West Bank, so the possibility of results being distorted into an anti-German propagandistic fashion (to make it more pallatable for foreigners to be accepted as German) should always be considered.
