I ran Kurds through nMonte (Global 25) as a mixture of Cypriots, Pashtuns, and Laz Georgians. It yielded interesting results and very nice fits.

so basically if it was 3 population mode it would be

50% Laz + 25% Pashtun + 25% Cypriot ?

It seems nMonte is agreeing with what you get on GEDmatch then. The last Kurd had much higher Cypriot than Pashtun though, so I assume he/she/they were from Turkey.

one calc says :

50% Azeri_Jew +25% Cypriot +25% Pashtun @ 2.324339
50% Georgian_Jewtat +25% Cypriot +25% Pashtun @ 2.447618

That's really cool. I actually decided to use the three populations I did used in nMonte because of what you told me, and the fit worked really well.

A distance of 3 using modern samples is quite bad though with the PCA 25 spreadsheet.

It's not a bad fit, and certainly not the worst. Imo >5 is bad.

Contact David from Eurogenes it costs 8 euros I believe and he will give you coordinates but you have to know how to run nMonte with R

Can you do one for pasthuns and tadjiks themselves too?
