Since it clearly doesn't want to let the UK go, many have suggested that the only way to free ourselves from it is to destroy it.

By destroy the EU, I mean bring down the corrupt institutions of the EU, so that it ceases to exist.

We could bankrupt it, for example, by immediately withdrawing all our assets from the ECB, or halting all EU payments immediately.
