Pan southern European in both cases (first guess is Italian, but Spanish works fine too; perhaps even Austrian or Swiss, but not further north than perhaps southern-most Germany). Most likely either Sephardic or Ashkenazi Jewish, given the OP's background and I have seen both Sephardim and Ashkenazim who look similar.
