He is from Vukovar, but he is very similar in appearance to the Serbs from Western Serbia that you posted. The common origin is evident.

A lot of Serbs from eastern Slavonia originated from Bosnia (mostly from northeastern Bosnia). They massively migrated from northeastern Bosnia to eastern Slavonia in late 19th and early 20th century. Family of friend from Vukovar arrived there from northeastern Bosnia in late 19th century.
Older Serbian population of eastern Slavonia mostly came with Arsenije Čarnojević 1690.
Many Serbs from Lika colonized eastern Slavonia after WW1 and WW2.
In some document I found that few thousand Serbs from Užice area settled to eastern Slavonia in 1689.

Serbian population of western Slavonia is older than Serbian population of eastern Slavonia.
Majority of Serbs from western Slavonia came in 16th century from Bosnia, Herzegovina and Raška.
