Did Yemeni Jews mix with the local population or were they like Sephardics who remained more genetically isolated?

How'd you classify her? And that is not too surprising of course - sans their large European admixture, Jews/Israelis would basically look like Lebanese and Syrians.

In terms of her phenotypical classification, I would say she is mainly East Med, but does show some Armenoid influence as well. My understanding is in the case of Yemeni Jews, they largely have similar Y-DNA signatures to other Jews and with Yemeni and Saudi mt-DNA signatures. In terms of autosomal DNA placement, on average, they tend to plot near Saudis but typically have a somewhat higher East Med component and a somewhat lower Red Sea/Arabian component. But they are closer to Saudis than Jordanians overall in their autosomal placement on a PCA. They aren't all that close to Yemeni non-Jews.
