There are several tests listed. Can someone explain which each is really matching, or why a different test is needed?
For example my results on Eurogenes K9b Admixture Proportions

Population
Southwest_Asian 10.14
Native_American 1.87
Northeast_Asian 0.49
Mediterranean 17.48
North_European 66.52
Southeast_Asian 1.30
Oceanian 0.59
South_African 1.13
Sub-Saharan_African 0.4

What's the difference between that and Eurogenes K13?

Then the J-Test
Population
SOUTH_BALTIC 16.64
EAST_EURO 13.48
NORTH-CENTRAL_EURO 25.15
ATLANTIC 19.31
WEST_MED 12.12
ASHKENAZI 3.40
EAST_MED 0.19
WEST_ASIAN 6.91
MIDDLE_EASTERN 1.81
SOUTH_ASIAN -
EAST_AFRICAN 1.00
EAST_ASIAN -
SIBERIAN -
WEST_AFRICAN -

Very interesting that you’re less Jewish on the Jtest than on 23andme. By the way, how many Ashkenazi Jews DNA matches do you have?

Not many. Out of the 1,000 listed relatives, maybe 15 or so are Jewish. That is why I believe 23andme is skewed.

lol, in some way all commercial companies suck ass. they'll never 100% accurately be able to predict ur ethnicity, gedmatch is way better for this. if you know how to intepret your results ofc.

It's not better. You have to realize it's a group of entirely different calculators which use different populations and which is read differently. It tries to be more precise but that doesn't make it better or more accurate. Gedmatch in no shape way or form predicts your ehtincity 100% accurate, nothing does. It just gives you another way of getting a better idea of where your ancestry is from.

Also, the commercial companies that "suck ass" are what gedmatch is using to give you your results.

Gedmatch has numerous different tests for numerous groups of people (Europeans, asians, africans). Each calculator is different and that's why your results may vary from test to test.

For all the tests i have done, I try and look for patterns and the reoccurring populations that make the most sense. You'll easily be able to spot the tests that don't make sense for you.

well yeah, it might not be BETTER but i like it more, to put it that way. theres alot more to test than just 1 test from a commercial company. gedmatch is very interesting, you can use your DNA to do many things like compare it to people, find the tests that are most accurate for your genome (or what you like to think is most accurate) and do more things its pretty cool.

and yeah true, every calculator is different.

i've noticed eurogenes is rather more accurate for people of european ancestry, as alot of nw euros and central euros voted eurogenes to be the best test for them, also MDLP is a favorite of many europeans, dodecad is most likely better for euro-mutts and other mixed people, harappaworld is best for south asians, etc etc

i personally find dodecad and gedrosia to be quite good, maybe ethiohelix K10 + french too only that test is quite confusing. It puts roughly 8-13% more european in your results than you actually have, which is what i can proof by the fact that i compared my dna with a Puerto Rican of similar background of mine, he's also a triracial. And he scores roughly 35-40% european on every test. EthioHelix gave him 49% european, and it gave me 58% european whilst most tests give me a range of 46-54% which is kinda weird.

even eurogenes K13's european percentages add it up to be 55% european for me. so yeah kinda odd tbh but yeah, it's made for half africans and half europeans, all of which i am not XD i am only half european but i lack the SSA or berber components

People keep saying 23nandme is great, but I question it's validity. GEDMATCH seems more impartial and more reliable.

lmao. This is why you should've lurked and figured this out firsthand. GEDMATCH is just a site that hosts calculators made by different people.

it might be great for specific peoples, like the case in ancestryDNA. it gave me only 3 populations outside of the low confidence regions.

if their confidence about my DNA is THAT low then i question their estimates XD their populations are probably accurate but the percentages are biased and shitty, exdee
