No, there were several waves that came into the Americas, however the first settlers came in tens of thousands of years ago. There was no mongoloid people established at that time. We are talking about ancient populations that have some common ancestry, but if you take it back a little further you could included caucasians in this gene pool as well.
Basically an ancient group of homo sapiens moved east and those that stayed in these regions developed into east Asians, and those that walked (or possibly sailed) into the Americas became american indians.
