Was named after the Nazi military commander Erwin Rommel. Located in the city of Mersa Matrouh.

Why wouldn't I ? In the end I'm Egyptian, same reason why you're proud of your country even tho it witnessed many horrors during inquisition or during the rule of the dictator franco.

Not really, he wasn't Egyptian and we don't care about him but probably it was used due to political reasons when he arrived to Al-Almeen to fight the english ( Egyptians hated english).

well many horrors and killings used to be in Spain, google them up.

June 1944 Germany was lost already, if they suceeded to kill Hitler and create their nationalist state, Germany would be waaay better today.

Franco was smart enough to stay out of WW2

I think its nice of the Egyptians to honor Rommel

Egyptians seem to be friendly towards Germans, I just wish they wouldnt be so hostile against Christianity
