It was under this Arabian dynasty that Egypt would enter it's golden age, and would protect Egypt and the Levant from the Seljuks who had come from the mountains of Persia and espoused Persian culture. However the Seljuks were not responsible for the golden age in any area they conquered, and only had revived Persian elements, yet the Fatamids fought bitterly to protect their language and culture against them. As Abbassid Mesopotamia becomes a Persian puppet state under the Buyid, and this would eventually be replaced by the Seljuks, who were defeated eventually making the Abassaid regaining their power until the Mongol conquest. However the Fatamid legacy was keeping the Arabic language, patrons of science and arts.
