I ran nMonte for Afghan vs Pakistani Pashtuns. However, keep in mind there are less Afghan Pashtuns than Pakistani Pashtuns. Also, almost all of the Pakistani Pashtuns are from the Yusufzai tribe. I also ran nMonte for a member here (Registan) who is half Afghan Pashtun (Wardak tribe) and half Panjsheeri Tajik. Basically the runs show that Pashtuns are mostly BMAC + steppe with some Indus Valley mixture, with currently sampled Pakistani Pashtuns being ~ 10-20% more Indus Valley shifted than Afghan ones. However, it is important to note that some outlying Yusufzais are more Shahr I Sokhta BA3/IVC than BMAC. Further, one of the Afghan Pashtun samples shows excess Han (East Asian) admixture.

I will clarify what each component means for those who do not know. Feel free to ask me questions in the thread if you are still confused.

Andronovo: Was a Eurasian steppe culture. Basically CHG + EHG.
Han: Han Chinese
Sappali Teppe BA: Is a BMAC (bronze age Central Asian culture). Was apparently a mix of Iranan_Neo/CHG and Levantine Farmer.
Shahr I Sokhta BA3: Is an individual from the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC) who was ~ 45% AASI and 55% CHG/Iranian_Neo.

First thing standing out is more Mongoloid ancestry in Afghan Pashtuns vs their Pakistani counterparts, but far more South Asian in the latter.
