For me, I'd have to say dna.land and wegene. Very very off.

wegene read me as 98% French  so dna.land was more accurate, but it still wasn't at all accurate.

MyHeritage and slightly DNA.Land

WeGene and MyHeritage but maybe it's because I used my raw data from Ancestry?

Yeah, I’ve been wondering if that’s what made it off for me too. I’ve used my AncestryDNA everywhere so far.

Yeah, I've been thinking of buying a kit from 23andMe and MyHeritage to compare and maybe send the raw data in as well.

AncestryDNA, Wegene, MyHeritage, and idk about the rest. I don't exactly know how to intepret my DNA.LAND and gencove and geneplaza results so i dont dare to say.

so far i find gedmatch the most reliable source as many tests can trace down my ethnicities quite well. I still havent found a test on gedmatch that's specifically good for tracing all my european components though, so far none has gave me both german, french, irish, and english in the same oracle 4 pop.

I have only done 23andMe but my parents and grandma did do the AncestryDNA test. Between the two, I think 23andMe is definately better, they give you more information, AncestryDNA won't even give you your haplogroup which I'm pretty sure they have the technology to do so.

imo i'd also recommend 23andMe, even though i havent even done it XD i think that says enough about ancestry. they are super bad at seperating west european populations, bad at estimating accurately the ethnicity of a triracial or more mixed person (then again every test is less reliable for super mixed ppls like me) and then not to mention it also doesnt give haplogroups and health traits no XD ancestryDNA is really lacking.

Deifinitely 23andme and anything besides GEDMATCH.

Only have experience with two mainstream paid ones and gedmatch.
My y dna results were less detailed than I expect for the particular haplogroup and high price.
and its autosomal probably needs more frequent updates.

Probably would stay away from the least popular ones or free ones (they may be using less info, or less experience and less accurate).

I will also add that both tests do little for South and South East Asian DNA, unless the individual has admixture from outside the region.

Geneplaza ancestry, ftdna is ok but the east euro area covers a very huge area, which is in my opinion very bad.

I have decided to take FTDNA's kit and took one. My result was quite weird. I got 10% British Isles which is impossible. I also got huge Asia Minor. Then I noticed many Greeks, Italians have huge Asia Minor as well. Even some British people have 5 to 10% Asia Minor. So, they need an update for sure.

I uploaded my rawdata to MyHeritage. I got 6% Middle Eastern and 12% Irish. I thought I have some Jewish or Levant ancestrg but after that I notice that many Bulgarian and Romanian people have 1 to 8% Middle Eastern as well. So, it is obvious MyHeritage gives quite weird scores as well.

Gedmatch. I am not a big fan of GM as well. Some calculators seem pretty good but all of them are so passe. They don't have recent updates. So, that's why I got many weird Oracles.

Dna.land and geneplaza are very bad as well. I got 51% Italian in Dna.land and 0% Balkan. I got 14% Scandinavian and 22% Iberian in Geneplaza. So, they are totally inaccurate.

My favorites are 23andMe and Lukasz K36 so far. I can also add Gedmatch again. I believe that n-monte method is better than oracles. Dnatribes seems good but I got some weird scores on dnatribes as well.

^ ftdna "goes back" further than other tests.

So even i got around 5% west middle east, while 23andme no one in my family gets it. And they clearly have Jews and Middle East separated.

Keep in mind how many Europeans ancestors got to Europe through Caucasian mountains, Steppes, and Anatolia.

Grouping people by 90% or 99% European would depend which dna company they took maybe.

All I'm saying is I think these DNA tests are useful tools, but not the complete picture or the Gospel truth . I know my family history very well. Only a few things were surprises.
