As far as I know, the origin of Arabid is Arabian peninsula and the origin of Iranid is steppes. So, why are they so similar to each other?

Dark? Iranids are much more lighter than arabids on average. these are pictures of Iranians from Tehran. Even the American journalist is as light as the Iranians around him, Iranians just have a yellow undertone rather than a red one like his.

They're not similar at all, perhaps some Arabid influenced Iranids are classified as pure Iranids which is what you're most likely looking at. Iranid is the mixture of steppe phenotype and neolithic Iranian phenotype.

Iranids are taller, lighter and can be more robust with narrow features than Arabids. Iranids evolved on the harsh Iranian plateau, there is no reason as to why they should be anthropologically similar to arabids whom evolved on flat land deserts.
