Not so much only based on these pics but also my knowledge, I think the Sikkimese and Arunachal Pradesh people have more in common with Tibet, Assam is more India and all others are South East Asian influenced.

I'd also add that populations in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are similar to the Sikkimese, having a blend of Indian and Tibetan phenotypes. Here is a Kinnauri woman, Kinnauris are from Himachal Pradesh.

Nice thanks for the input. Yeah the arunachal, sikkim, and to an extent nagas could pass among tibetans and southern chinese as well. The rest of them look southeast asian like their burmese neighbors.

Also good that you brought up himachal, uttarakhand, the pahari region. Many of them do have a perfect mix of both indic/tibetan features similar to many nepalese people. But yeah the northeast people have mix from burmese, tibetans and southern chinese while the pahari region of india exclusively has only tibetan mix in terms of foreign admixture.

True. Even many mainland indians think they're from china, thailand, or somewhere from eastern asia lol. Northeast india has a population of 46 million, roughly equal to south korea's 51 million.
