The most successful writers in Italy all come from Sicily. I have my own theory : The ancient greek DNA (many ancient greeks in Sicily were philosophers and writers). I am not saying that other italians are not. But quite a high number of italian writers that became famous and very talented in Italy were and are from Sicily.
He is Alessandro D'Avenia. His books are the most loved among the italian youngs. He is 100% sicilian from Palermo. Does he look any "arabian" ?
