View Full Version : 23andme updated my results page and altered my raw data?

Is this normal? I re-downloaded the raw data and it (slightly) affected my GEDmatch.

I'm now also apparently 0.1% Native American, as if I totally needed to know that.

Ok, I've just noticed "similar threads" that talk about updated results, but if these "updates" were around beforehand, why wasn't it in my profile in the first place? Are results updated when more relevant DNA results are submitted and run in comparison?

After my update, my raw data wasn't altered at all.

I'll have to double check and make sure I'm not imagining it then.

Just checked...I'm going loony. All that changed are percentages on my 23andme front page.

I don't think your raw data changes. When my 23anme was updated after phasing (because I got my mom tested), I asked them if that would result in any change on my raw data, and they said no.

well my gedmatch results changed a little bit XD max changes are only 1-2% though so not much.

I think I'm going download it on my computer, and then upload the new file on gedmatch without deleting the old one to compare my new results with the old one.

How can the raw data be different when its just that,uninterpreted data in a specific format, and the only thing the update did is add more reference samples for asian and african tribes?

My 0.1% Finnish noise get replaced by 0.1% Sub-Saharan African noise. Black power man!
