In most DNA companies, there are separate classifications such as Ashkenazim Jewish, Mizrahi Jewish, Sephardim Jewish etc. Are they genetically so different from each other? Or, for example, are Ashkenazim Jews ancestrally a blend of Eastern Europeans and Levantines? Or, are Iranian Jews ancestrally a blend of Iranians and Levatines? If this is the case, why do they have separate classifications as X Jewish, Y Jewish, Z Jewish etc. instead of showing them as some percent Levantine, some other percent Iranian, Eastern European, Iberian etc.?

1. Ashkenazi Jews are roughly mix of 50% Levantine, 35% North Italian and 15% East/West Europe. Sephardi Jews are more like 40% Iberian 60% Levantine (vary from type to type of Sephardi), Mizrahi Jews are mix of West Asian and Levantine (vary from type to type of Mizrahim) and ect...
2. It's like Asking- why having separate South slav category instead of showing Yugoslavs as mix of Greeks and Russians? But personally I think Jewish categories are not necessary
