Bosnia and Herzegovina is by far closest to Croatia, in FST distance and on PCA, and ofcourse because it is Geographically logical, but you are troll from Montenegro so its ok.

In terms of ethic similarity Germany in most similar and Italy, when seen as a whole, the least similar.
But there are many other factors, I assume Italy is probably the most loved neighbor for most Austrians because of the beauty of the county and lifestyle, etc.
When it comes to mentality it much harder to answer, Tiroleans and Slzburger are closer to Bavarians while us eastern Austrians share a lot with our eastern neighbors CZ, SK, HU ans SLO mentality wise and politically. Vorarlberger are closer to the Swiss and south-west Germans, the also share the same Alamannic dialect group.

I personally felt very much at home in southern Saxony, more so than I ever did in Bavaria, Saarland, or even Rhineland (gosh) but thats just me.

He was right about Bosniaks being closest thing to Croats genetically, we are almost identical except for northwest Croats who are closer to Slovenians genetically.

I wished to do something simillar for Czech regions, but it is uneasy / impossible for the
demographic / geopolitical changes after WW2.
The only dialectical / cultural continuum what survived until today is between estaern Moravia and Slovakia
and between the Czech and Polish parts of former Duchy of Cieszyn/Těšín/Teschen.

What I have seen from many Serbian results is that they are quite homogeneous, even those with origins from Kosovo or Southern Serbia are not that different than the other Serbs.
What I have seen from many PCA's and Macedonian results on Gedmatch is that as a whole we are closer to Kosovars and Montenegrin Albanians than to Southern Serbs.
I have also posted my pictures on this forum and many people said that there is overlap with the Albanians.
