FindMyPast.com is partnering with LivingDNA! Just upload your raw data through this link: https://www.findmypast.com/ancestry-dna-testing/ ..Click where it says "Upload your DNA data" and it will use a special referral link to connect you to LivingDNA.com where you can proceed with your upload.. I heard it's a special limited time offer for those who upload before Oct 31st, and that by Nov 1st or sometime in Nov they will provide for you your free(I think) ethnicity report!

Need to read it properly. Only the matchmaking is free. Then you have the option to pay/upgrade for ethnicity estimate.

The one benefit is that matching feature. If it ends up being as seamless as they say, then I see it being a great feature to build virtual family trees!
You can eventually upgrade once the feature goes live. So for a smaller fee you get ancestry reports. This is also going to their One World Project that is over a 5-6 year eta for regionalization of Europe. Albania for Instance is split into 3 regions, Greece like 6 or 7. So instead of Aegean it will be regionalized. Same for other components. Looks like little by little LivingDNA is stepping it up. Scroll down to see the regionalization planned for Europe. https://www.livingdna.com/one-family/research This was the explanation for the family network feature itself:

Living DNA is hurting for samples. They have few outside of Europe and their own borders I have read somewhere.

Every company started from the bottom. They seem promising with their goals. I would give them a chance. upgrading for ancestry will be cheaper for those participating in free matchmaking. Additionally they only want samples where testers 4 grandparents are from one region so as to increase reporting accuracy.

Probably good for Scots, English, Welsh and Irish as it has collected more data from here.
