The usual suspects

Despite both being from the same part of the island, for whichever reason the first one is much more Greek-like than the second, both Crete (which is very close) and to a lesser extent Anatolian Greeks and Athenians. The second one has more SW Asian/North African type ancestry than what is average for Sicily and is instead more like Malta.

Yeah the first one is within a clear Greek range

His East Med doesn't exceed even that of some Maniots his Baltic is slightly lower.

For the second one do you think its possible he might have recent Maltese ancestry?

There was some interaction between Sicily and Malta obviously for a long time until know

Malta feels similar to Sicily from what i have seen and read but perhabs even more archaic and distinct

First result is basically like a Cretan. But the second result is actually pretty common for west-central Sicily (Agrigento, Caltanissetta, part of Palermo) where North African/SW Asian is higher but for the island as a whole it is higher than the average.

But Maltese descend from Sicily, not the reverse. The common ancestry is with Sicily as the source population and Maltese as the recipient.

I remember some Palermitans you posted scoring as low Baltic as 2%

That is score that low most Greek Islanders don't even get i think

Palermo varies. The inland towns do indeed have very low North European input of any kind (east or west), so this is what you might have been seeing.

I remember some results you posted had higher Baltic some had that low as i said

Alot had around 4% or something so similar to the first guy
