What do people think or know about that?
Based on these Calculators which South Italian region are Cyclade Islanders genetically closest to?
Are Apulians closer to them or is it Sicilians?
If it is Sicilians, which Sicilian region is their closest match?

These are the Cyclades results I have, I am putting them in MDLP K23 which has most Sicilian regions:
Sicilian East = Catania
Sicily West = Western Palermo
Sicily Center = Eastern Palermo
Agrigento
Syracuse
Trapani
Apulia is not on here so I cannot compare unfortunately but Apulians would be most similar to Trapani or Syracuse.
Looks to me like the answer is Sicily West or Sicily East which is basically the western part of Palermo province and Catania. They are the LEAST similar to Agrigento, which is because the Cyclades do not have North African, and to Sicilian Center, because they have too high of North European and that Sicilian area has among the lowest North European.
Some of these people are also shifted toward mainland Greece.

So in short: Sicily, but not to the regions with higher than average MENA input, and the least similar to Agrigento and the Maltese, and Cyclades are somewhat shifted toward mainland Greece when compared to Sicilians.
Many people from Ikaria seem close to "Sicilian Center" for whichever reason.

Though I suspect if Apulia was a choice on MDLP, they might get it before Sicilian, since the results themselves better match Apulians than Sicilians (Apulians score almost identical components to them).

So this would mean they are might be overall most similar to South East Sicilians,Syracuse,Ragusa
No?
Ragousis by the way is a surname commong among Cyclade Islanders
Many people from Ikaria seem close to "Sicilian Center" for whichever reason.
Don't know if that is the reason but Ikaria is geographically quite further off from the Center of Cyclades.
Ikaria lies next to Samos

To me they look like an intermediate between "East Sicilian", "West Sicilian" and the Greek mainland.

How do Trapanesi compare to them?

Also important is how each person can be modeled above.
#3 and #5 could easily be full Sicilians, within the spectrum based on how they are modeled. But #1, #2, and #4 require additional NE European which shows they are shifted away from Sicilians and toward mainland Greece.

How do Trapanesi compare to them?
A bit higher on the East and West Med, a bit lower on the Caucasus and Baltic/East Euro, plus a North African component in Trapani.
