Wow. Beautiful. I want to go to Mexico. How are Filipinos treated when they go to Mexico? The Philippines used to be part of Mexico once (Viceroyalty of New Spain), you guys sent a shit ton of soldiers here during the Spanish era. But at most, only 13% of Filipinos have partial Latino/Spanish descent, the rest are pure Malays, mixed Chinese and Negritos.

I want to go to Acapulco, Mexico City, Veracruz and Guadalajara Jalisco. I also want to go the Yucatan Peninsula and then visit the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Thank you, Mexicans are our brothers. They helped us wage war against the Muslims here by sending soldiers to us during the colonial era.

Here are the Presidios established by Spain and manned by Latinos in the Philippines.

Here is a table, counting the annual batch of reinforcements sent by Mexico to the Philippines, to help us in our wars here.
http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj88/saludong/Cagayan_zps4ytnrtxq.png

Likewise, we also helped Mexico in their war of independence against Spain.

Here are two Filipino officers that served in the Mexican army during the war of independence.

Isidoro Montes de Oca – Mexican General and Lieutenant commander of Vicente Guerrero
Francisco Mongoy – Military commander of Vicente Guerrero

Also, due to the numerous wars in the Philippines; against the Moro, the Wokou, the Dutch and the British, we were a strain to the Spanish Empire and to finance the colonization of the Philippines, Mexico (New Spain) subsidized the colony.

The trade with China was channeled through Manila and from there went to Acapulco in New Spain (Mexico). Silver from the mines in New Spain was used to pay for the purchases in China. The colonization of the Philippines involved costs greater than the revenues it brought in and for many decades the Philippine venture depended upon a subsidy from New Spain.

So we really appreciate and thank Mexico for spending for us and helping us in our wars. You're our bros.

And yes, we have beautiful islands too.

Brazil doesn't have exceptionally tall skyscrapers, but it does have many, many skyscrapers.

Recife, Fortaleza and Balneário Camboriú come to mind as places that went through a building boom in the last few years, many new modern glass and steel buildings are being built all around the country.

The older 70's concrete "International/Brutalist" type buildings do look ugly as all hell though.

OT: I've seen some recent footage of Mexico City that a friend sent to me, many impressive buildings in there.

That's the Mexico City Metro area, the São Paulo Metro is over 22 million.

Mexico City is about 8,918,653 city proper, 6,000/km², São Paulo is around 12,000,000 city proper. 8,959.27/km²

Their city limits are fairly similar, but São Paulo is quite a lot more dense. I've lived in São Paulo for a while, I never wanted to kill myself so readily like I did at rush hours lol

It is dude, I was lucky that I did indeed live close to work, I was an estate agent and lived a few blocks from the office, the problem were the times I had to drive to construction sites all around the city.

I'm back in London, whilst also a huge city, I thank God everytime I think about the traffic in SP.

Still not a such bad place tbh, São Paulo is a fun city.
