The Bruins are going to be a bit more of a challange for the Habs this year.

Between Thomas and Price, the scale is tipped in favour of Thomas. The Toolman has put his work boots on.

Allenson just might have an opinion on this. :D

Price is overrated. He is too streaky to rely on him. It's a shame Habs didnt sign Halak, he was the only one who carried the team through the play-offs last year. You gonna watch out for PK Subban as well. This kid can do miracles.

That game didnt mean much. I feel bad for Kovy though. He has an amazing season ending but unfortunately slow start.

I don't know why they didn't sign Halak, he is better than Price.

Price is good, but he just seems to give up if more than two goals get past him.

Ivan, were you the Red Wings fan back in HBF when we had a raffle? Or was it someone else? :mmmm:

Yep, Red Wings are good too. But they already won everything so there's no interest to root for them.

Nah, I know this. But this is ages ago, when that vortex of anthronerdish entropy still existed I'm talking about.
I just wanted to remember if it was you that rooted for them back then.

Not sure it was me. In fact I don't even remember that there were much hockey talk on the HBF. I associate those times mostly with Khanties and Finns.

If SJ gets knocked out then Caps are my team:D Ovi,Alex,Nick,Green,Knuble whats not to love? I just wonder who's gonna be the starting goalie...Varlamov or Neuvirth:confused:

I think Bruins are gonna win the whole thing though. I favor teams with better goalies than with offensive firepower but who knows maybe Ovi will drink from the cup this year :D

Sharks #1 even if they lose !!!:whoo:

Lightening are looking sharp now with the way they have been playing lately they could very get to the Stanley Cup possibly even winning it all. They are playing like an offensive juggernaut. I think the Sharks will get to the Cup in the West although the Predators might be a surprise team. Imagine the Lightening and Predators in the final I am sure the ratings would be extremely low for that stanley cup final.

I was rooting for them all the way I am a huge Penguin fan unfortunately they could just put the nail in the coffin against the Lightening would have helped if they had Sidney Crosby going on the ice.

Are you French Canadian by anychance, given your fanhood of the Habs?! (Most excellent choice btw! ;))

Well Canucks are in! So buh-bye Sharks!

I'd love for the final match up to be between the Canucks and the Bruins. (Boston had bloody well win its series against Tampa is all I can say!)

A Canucks-Bruins would be an awesome match up: I'd be rooting for both, Bruins because they're an Original Six and long overdue, and well the Canucks because they're, well Canuck! (and long overdue as well!)

Let's see what happens....

No you don't have to be French-Canadian. I was just wondering. I didn't think that a person living in Brazil would even know who the Habs were!

Well, I liked hockey, long before living in Montréal. I started to follow the 90's, in "sudden death " movie. Then, ESPN has broadcast hockey to Brazil (it is still transmitting) and ended up falling in love with hockey. Even some friends and I are columnists for a site dedicated to hockey, called "The Slot". I love the sport. I practiced and learned to play when I lived in your country. I follow the world championships, Olympics, nhl. I went to several games at the Centre Bell. Finally, many Brazilians love hockey. It is a sport that has grown here, except we can not practice.

I really like several of the Canucks players, like the brothers Sedin, Luongo, Kesler. You since the end of the 1994 Stanley, has the greatest chance to stand up for the first time the Stanley Cup for Canucks believe the team with more depth than the Tampa Bay and against the Bruins, in my opinion it would be a duel harder, because it is very good in attack and defense, especially with Tim Thomas playing a lot and Chara. The Bruins bemoan the largest nhl fasting and you have not yet won, if the final against them, as a fan of the habs, I wish that the "nucks", win and bring the cup back to Canada, which since 1993 when we won , a Canadian team has not won

Nah. My father was Faroese and loved the Habs. He was damn superstitious too. He would not shave during playoffs, and if he started watching the game on the small black and white TV in the garage, he'd continue to watch it there because switching to the better TV would jinx the team. :D
