For example, I have noticed that in Western Europe, if you say something against Muslims or Islam, they accuse you of promoting hatred and you can receive a fine. While in the United States, if you do not like them or a person, they do not accuse you of anything.

Depends, Western Europe is not a country but Netherlands for example has complete freedom of expression.

I think Switzerland and Austria have almost the same freedom of expression as the United States, but countries like France, Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Sweden do not have the same than US.

Depends I guess. But in Murica even a klansman can - through hard work - make it big in life. I'm going with Murica for that reason. Freedom isn't absolute anywhere as group ostracism is a thing also.

I am more used to living in Yurop, though. Western Europe at that. Belgian with close proximity to the Netherlands both in geography as in state of mind. I never experienced living here as being robbed of freedom of expression and thought and I'm very sure fear of ostracism is a real thing also in the US. In the US, depending on state, you probably even make enemies for not being a God-fearing Christian.

One thing, very trivial, where we have more freedoms than Muricans. We think blackface is no big deal. Don't ever try that in the USA. :p

Any country with hate speech laws does not respect free speech. Hate-speech laws are no different than blasphemy laws - they are only used to suppress political opponents.

Hate crime laws are no better - they're just a tool to suppress the majority population.

Joke map

Germany leads on requests to google to delete content and its not just about the 3rd Reich.
We got laws like NetzDG that put Belarus to shame and we are about to ban Telegram.
Germany is far from a free country, I could present countless examples.

I am sure same goes for the UK and France.
