Recently I brought up the topic of Adeni Jews in a post so I thought I'd just start this thread.
Adeni Jews are the Jews of Aden, Yemen. My Yemenite grandfather is actually an Adeni Jew. Adeni Jews are usually overall lighter than their Yemenite Jewish counterparts and are considered the "white" Yemenites. At first I didn't think there was actually any difference between the two groups and the separation only occurred because the British colonized Aden but not the rest of Yemen, but looking at MH results of my Adeni matches paints a different story. Non of these results are cherry-picked, my only criteria was for them to be old enough not to be extremely mixed (because the younger generation in Israel is extremely mixed), so I took my first 10 matches who are older than 60.

They score high Middle Eastern, West Asian as well as some Mizrahi and Sephardi. Now I'm not sure as to why they differ from other Yemenites as there isn't too much information about this community. I don't know whether they were more Israelite to begin with or anything else... Either way I don't have the GEDmatch kit of any one of them which is kind of a bummer.
