Because im not sure anymore.. Usually if i eat cheese a few minutes after i get very gassy and shit smell like satans asshole xD

however, YourDNAPortal tells me this:

"Lactose Tolerance. Milk
People with your genotype are more likely to be lactose tolerant and digest milk

The frequency of lactose intolerance ranges from 5% in Northern European populations to more than 90% in some African and Asian countries. Although worldwide populations were first thought to have high frequencies of lactase persistence because of a single mutation, lactase persistence has been traced to various mutations that occurred independently. There were evolutionary advantages to lactose persistence (the ability to drink milk) into adulthood.

^ ? nigga wtf?

could it be due to my overal diet? cuz idk, i eat fairly ok. I sometimes eat fruit, i eat dutch food pretty often cuz i live in the netherlands in some group and these motherfuckers always make dutch food here, so i dont think the problem lays there.

idk, its kinda odd.

furthermore, eating cheese does nothing to me, i wont feel sick or anything, i will just get gassy. is that some sort of insensitivity to lactose? cuz it wouldnt surprise me tbh. I am 45% african and 2% amerindian so it doesnt surprise.

lactose intolerant people(adults) can eat (moderately seasoned) cheese because it is basicsally pre-digested by lactose fermentation, it's pure milk i think gives problems

I'm of asian descent and no one in my family is lactose intolerant. None of my friends are lactose intolerent either. Something tells me this is entirely untrue. Milk is one of my favorite beverages of all time.

The farther from Nordid, Baltid and other northern types to the south, the worse the tolerance to fresh milk. But this does not apply to dairy products, only fresh milk.

Ooooh.. Well idk my tolerance to fresh milk because i barely drink milk, and i cant remember getting sick after drinking milk either.

but cheese also contains lactose so maybe it has something 2 do with that.

I'm lactose intolerant and I can handle cheese, but milk and ICE CREAM sends me straight to the toilet.

I'm lactose intolerant and I can't even take pills that contain lactose, even a chocolate cube is a big no-no.
But DNA says I'm homozygous for lactose intolerance so it makes sense.

How do i actually test if i am lactose intolerant? i can eat cheese just fine without having to take a big ol shit or run to the toilet, but it just makes me gassy sometimes

DNA however says i am lactose tolerant to milk, so idk. i guess i should go and drink some milk tomorrow to go and check xD i am more european than african though so lactose tolerance wouldnt be too far fetched perhaps.

You have one derived allele for lactase persistence. That means you are likely to be able to digest milk, but not with certainty as if you had two derived alleles.

Oooohh.. Well thanks bro xD if you didnt respond id still not know what the hell my results were telling me. When it comes to this area of DNA i am completely 100% a noob and helpless lmao

but yeah makes sense, my dad is nw euro, and my mom is predominantly african. I cant remember correctly, but if im not mistaken usually when i digested milk i got alot of gas, or i would get slightly nauseous i think.

Try this instead of cheese and replace milk with milk of magnesia.

tbh, the idea of drinking something from an animals tit that its young drink kind of disturbs me. but then again, northern european cuisine isnt the most appetizing either.

Hmmm, i dont think i am "Lactose intolerant" in particular then. i dont have any bad symptoms from consuming cheese, not from milk either as far as i can remember.

usually after i digest something i dont immediately blame it on the stuff i ate beforehand so maybe i am lactose intolerant to some degree but havent even noticed LOL

You can have a different level of lactose intolerance. If I drink let's say two cups of milk that is not lactose-free I get stomach cramps or whirling / rolling inside my stomach complete with stomach rumble and diarrhea sometimes too ... I know for sure that I am lactose intolerant. Your ability to digest lactose diminishes in most adults with age.

Most adults in a world scale, but not most Europeans, and specially not Northern/Central Europeans. Most European adults are able to digest lactose.

You gotta try raw milk. Pasteurization destroys the enzyme lactase. This enzyme digests lactose. If you are intolerant to milk, it's probably because it's been cooked...

Drink a few glasses of milk one after another. If you have winds and stomach rumble, you already know.

Bullshit. It is a nice unitended pun btw. here. Pasteurization does not destroy lactase.

All milk, raw or pasteurized, contains lactose and can cause lactose intolerance in sensitive individuals. There is no indigenous lactase in milk. Raw milk advocates claim that raw milk does not cause lactose intolerance because it contains lactase secreted by “beneficial” or probiotic bacteria present in raw milk.

You have lactose-free milk accessible, but it's only because the enzyme lactase is being added to it.

To react lactose, manufacturers add small amounts of the enzyme lactase to milk, explains OrganicMeadow.com, a producer of lactose-free milk. The lactase splits lactose into its constituent components, which are two sugars called glucose and galactose.

If you are European and can't digest milk you should pack your bags and go back to Anatolia, because you're a fucking Neolithic farmer.
