With scaled coordinates, the goal is to get the distance between 1% and 2% with as few populations as possible. Higher is ok but you don't want to let the distance get too high. These populations should reflect your known ancestry as well.

Have you tried using Poi's nMonte online calculator? It makes it easier for times when you don't feel like using R.

Hey. I haven't tried Poi's calculator. Could you please send me a link? Also, which results am I supposed to be going by? Georgian Laz and Turkish Aydin are pretty different so I'm not sure how to understand what it's telling me.

I'm not sure if you're doing this but I'll tell you anyway. The data sheets have both ancient populations from different time periods and modern populations. Try not to mix them unless you really have too.

Heres the link: http://185.144.156.77:3000/

nMonte is taking the populations you give it and comparing them to your coordinates. It's than giving you back a distance and the percentage of each population you fit best into. The percentage adds up to be 100.

I'm not sure what your ancestry is.

It's just different ways of interpreting the same thing. You seem to be a mixture of Germanic and West-Asian (Caucasus, Turkey). Also the distance of 16 is horribly high, stick only to 2-4%
