He is born in Knin. When he was a child he moved with family to Slavonia.

There was Matijevići in 8-9 places in northern Dalmatia (all in Bukovica). Their slava is Đurđevdan and Sv. Jovan.

I know some Matijevići which originated from Dalmatia.

Yeah my grandmother said she was related to him before. Her family is all from Dalmatia.
